Invincible Self-esteem

Humanity is so gloriously blessed to be specially created in the very image of Almighty God – despite the abasing contention by evolution dogma that we are merely advanced animals. Although pets are very beloved in our society, only we humans are given the UNIQUE awareness of a need to know the Creator. Blaise Paschal – the seventeenth-century French philosopher, mathematician, and physicist once made a famous wager to provoke careful consideration for the existence of a grand designer. My expounded paraphrase of Paschal’s idea would be as follows: “If one believes in God, and He doesn’t exist, there is still the gain of a morally fulfilling, HEALTHY life and legacy on Earth. If He does exist, one receives THIS – as well as eternal bliss in the promised Paradise!” Only someone in utter denial would dispute that believing is the wisest wager. Subsequently, once we accept the notion that there IS such a supernatural being, how do we then determine which deity (of all ever proposed) is the TRUE creator and sustainer of all things? The answer lies in both fervent prayer and research – lifelong pursuits of this blogger! The conclusion I have drawn is the best possible news for all humanity – namely that the only genuine God is a very personal One whose love for each of us is simply immeasurable. The Hebrew term for this original living Being is ‘Elohim’ – an unusual type of word referred to as ‘uniplural’ – meaning single, but multi-faceted. He is the sole PERFECT Spirit, to which no other religious figure compares. Christians refer to Him as the ‘trinity’: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Even so, divinely inspired statements throughout scripture clearly indicate that He considers Himself ONE God. In the fourth century, Patrick of Ireland allegedly used a shamrock to teach this very unusual and often controversial concept. The gospel of John explains incredibly well how the ‘Word’, Christ Himself – the God-man who died and arose, was present in the BEGINNING. It indicates that HE designed humanity – creating within Adam various amazing organs with many interdependent parts which must have formed simultaneously in order to function at all. Creation scientist Dr.Scott Huse calculated the odds that just a single eye randomly evolved as 1 in 10 to the 266th power. How much more remote a possibility for such with an entire human system? Should the absorption of this knowledge (scientia) yet be insufficient for one to feel specially designed and greatly ESTEEMED – this awesome God additionally endowed everyone in the human race with an everlasting soul (the psyche, mind) – not likely in the least to have evolved from natural processes. What a collectively uplifting revelation – providing each of us with the most ultimate self-worth in the universe. All praise belongs to ELOHIM – the author of life itself!

  3. Very well written blog, Beth. 😊We just talked about Paschal the other day. Adam was telling me about the wager and he said he wants to read more about him. Blessings

    • Your home remedies and prolific gardens are blessing many too, Vlasta. Regarding Paschal: Atheists are so blinded that they deny his clear reasoning. Debating with them is difficult – prayer is their best remedy!
